Abstract: Hydatid disease is a zoonosis caused by the Echinococcus tapeworm and is a that endemically affects certain geographical regions. The most affected organs are the liver and lungs, respectively. It is most seen in the right lower lobe of the lung. Supradiaphragmatic location is a very rare condition for hydatid cyst. In this study, we will report a case who was diagnosed with liver and lung hydatid cyst in the preoperative period, but was diagnosed with left supradiaphragmatic hydatid cyst intraoperatively. For this reason, diaphragmatic hydatid cyst is a difficult case to diagnose preoperatively due to atypical location and rarity. A 34-year-old female patient, who was first operated on in the general surgery clinic due to liver hydatid cyst and then consulted us for lung hydatid cyst, was diagnosed with intraoperative left diaphragmatic hydatid cyst by standard posterolateral thoracotomy.
