Author(s): Dr. Sushil Deshmukh and Dr. Aniket Zarkar

Abstract: Wilkie syndrome and superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMA syndrome) are other names for vascular compression of the duodenum. It is a rare disorder in which the third section of the duodenum is compressed by the SMA as it passes over it. Typically, duodenojejunostomy is regarded as the preferred course of treatment. Occasionally, patients fail this medical management and require a surgical bypass. We present the case of a 19-year-old female who presented with SMA syndrome and underwent Duodenojejunostomy Surgery.
